2025 Day 2 Totals!

🎮Day 2 Extra Life Recap: The 24-Hour Quest Is Real!🏆

Holy cow, we're two days into Extra Life 2025, and the Chouinard crew is putting in the work!

I'm absolutely stoked to share the current stats from the front lines:

  • Brett is crushing it and leading the charge with a whopping 23 hours logged! Just one more hour and he hits the 24-hour goal! You've got this!

  • Aidyn is right there, hot on his heels with a fantastic 18 hours! Seriously great job to both of you dedicated gamers!

The Family Fun & Dino Battles 🦖

The rest of the Chouinard family is steadily chipping away at their totals, fitting in gaming where they can!

Between all the work calls and dog walks, my personal go-to for getting my hours in has been Jurassic World Alive. Gotta catch those virtual dinosaurs! And as for the littler Chouinards? They're somehow managing to squeeze in their charity gaming hours between schoolwork and all the Halloween madness. Talk about dedication!

The Adventure Continues!

We are absolutely not done yet! Get ready because Gaiscioch still has a full weekend of action planned for us next week! That's right—they're running five full days of Extra Life this year!

You'll want to be there! Join us next week as we gather, adventure, and (most importantly) beat up bad guys for the kids! Let's hit those final fundraising goals!

Home Stretch for Week 1!

I could not get into Elder Scrolls Online so I went off and had my own adventure in Arc Raiders again. I am SOOOOOO bad at it, but I love it. I do feel like it is too easy to camp the extraction points, unless you have a raider hatch key. Then you should be ok. The game is fairly lore rich as well which makes it nice. It was a super fun day today, and I'm glad that I got to participate again this year. I will just reiterate, that in these difficult and uneasy times, it is important to do what you can to make the world a better place. When it seems that everything is going backwards, you should continue to be optimistic and move forward. I feel that what we do here with Extra Life will instill in our children the ideals that we have lost. The future has always, and WILL always, rest in our children. To the Shroud!

Another gem of a game. Enshrouded. A little hard to get used to the crafting system. DEFINITELY much more fun with friends. Took a trip into the shroud with the Gaiscioch folks. Found some loot, burned to ashes in a fiery lava river. You know, the usual. I really enjoy the idea of the shroud though. A limited time to get what you need to do done or peril awaits. Clearing the shroud opens up the map as well, which is pretty nifty. Anyways, on to the next adventure. Gaiscioch will be doing an Elder Scrolls Online run. I'm not sure if I'll participate in that one. It has been a VERY long time since I played. We shall see!

Here are yesterday's totals: We have Brett leading the way at 11 hours, Aidyn not far behind at 9 hours, and Shavonne at 2 hours. What a great start! At least for Brett and Aidyn! Be sure to help us reach our goal and donate! https://www.extra-life.org/participants/thechouinardfamily

Day 2, What to Do?

Day 2! I had a plan to join Gaiscioch for most of the day. I think I want to fly solo for a little bit though. Tried to help Ckem with a chart in excel but I'm not used to the webapp, so I wasn't much help. I will try to work it when I'm finished today. For the time being, join me in some more Arc Raiders! Let's head topside and scavenge some loot!

Glory and Honor!

I was, again, pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed a game I thought was gonna be the worst. It has been VERY hit or miss with Conqueror's Blade. Actually, it has been more hit than miss. It makes everyone that plays it very edgy and frustrated. I don't like to hear Fog's teacher voice. It is very convincing. Tonight's territory wars was not as "get my butt handed to me" as i was expecting. Granted, I did get my butt handed to me. I have a hard time setting my troops up and commanding them while fighting as my hero at the same time. Not that coordinated I guess. I digress. It was a good time, and it has been far too long since I played with other people. Which is why we do this! So the children that are fighting their own battles can play with other people as well. Consider donating to the cause.

Break Time after a Fun Run

I didn't think I would enjoy Warborne as much as I did tonight. Small group, all GSCH members, not fighting for roles or a spot in a group. It was very enjoyable. It's been a long time since I could say that about a video game. After running some scrapyards and a couple of dungeons, I went from level 8 to 42! I was worried about having to start over for the season, but fortunately the devs left most of the things you grinded for untouched. Plus, you get the catchup bonus after a certain period of playtime! I got like 1200 exp books! It was insane! Took a little break to eat some pizza and now I am back to the grind! On to Conqueror's Blade (another game I am not a huge fan of right now). See you all there!
